As I mentioned last week, I set some new intentions at Burlycon. And I'm happy to say I'm off to a good start. First one, to write on this lovely blog every week. I know it's only been one week, but so far so good! Another of those intentions is to support more shows and performers. This week my dear friend Chastity Svelte and I had the opportunity to attend Booty Magic Burlesque's Total Burlesque Live! It was a great show for a new group of performers and they really did a lovely job. They mix beauty and humor in a way that had me laughing hysterically throughout the show. I am very exctied to see them grow as a troupe and as performers. |
As for a different show, I also went and saw Justice League at the theater. Holy moly! Great special effects, great action sequences. I definitely liked it way better than Batman Vs. Superman, but not nearly as much as I liked Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa as Aqua Man was probably the best highlight, and I really liked the complexity of Cyborg. But it felt a little rushed and there were a lot of weird things that didn't have any explanation or reasoning. This article had a lot of the same questions as I do. All that being said, if you love big boomy comic book films (like I do), I would recommend it. Just don't expect compelling acting or story line. |
